Southern California, February Vacation 2009

We went to Legoland with Daina, Brian, Christopher & Justin on our first day,
we saw amazing sculptures ...
... and cool rides, too !

The next day we went to the San Diego Maritime Museum -- it was rainy and soggy.
We boarded a bunch of boats
including a Soviet Submarine, and The HMS Surprise from Master and Commander.

Finally, the sun came out, so we thought it would be a good day to check out the San Diego Zoo:
There were some adorable Cave Boys at the zoo too !

The next day, We went to Old Town San Diego Historic State Park -- where the Blackmiths are very friendly.

Of course we had to go to the Wild Animal Park -- where we saw a baby Rhino, and a one day old Cheetah !!!

On our last day in SD, we went to Point Loma/Cabrillo National Park -- if you go at low tide you get to
see tide pools!

We went directly to Pasadena on our first day back in LA, to see the Amgen Tour de California,
and meet Kevin and Linda.
Unbeknownst to me, I actually took pictures, of Lance, Levi, Tyler, and Hincapie,
and also did some fun stuff with motion blur (I knew about the motion blur).

The next day we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach.

Our last day of the trip we drove up the PCH (Pacific Coast Hwy, Frank!) and went to Malibu and
Santa Monica, then watched planes land at sunset.
